Taking a holiday is all about treating yourself, escaping from the daily grind and enjoying little luxuries you don’t get every day at home. When you’re staying in one of our Bridlington holiday cottages, you should be relaxing, unwinding, and letting someone else do the legwork.
And what’s more of a luxury than treating yourself to afternoon tea? Whether it’s a full three-tier cake stand affair or a more modest scone with jam and cream, Bridlington boasts some fantastic cafes and tea rooms.
We’ve rounded up some of the best places in Bridlington to enjoy afternoon tea on your holiday.
The Georgian Rooms
Not just a tea shop, but an antiques centre too, The Georgian Rooms is a ready-made afternoon out if antiques and cake float your boat.
Offering seasonal afternoon tea options or light bites like sandwiches and cakes, there’s plenty on the menu to appeal to everyone. Finish off with a spot of light browsing for a delightfully slow-paced afternoon.
This little tea room is a relatively recent addition to the Bridlington foodie scene, opening in 2017, but it’s already making waves with the locals.
Tripadvisor reviews compliment the freshly baked scones on offer, the bacon sandwiches and the friendly service – the perfect place to while away a few hours. You’ll also find a full afternoon tea option on the menu, which comes highly praised!
The Garden Room
Just outside Bridlington at Bondville Model Village you’ll find The Garden Room, a quintessentially English tearoom complete with bunting and hanging baskets.
It’s a great place to stop after a trip to the model village, and offers a fantastic selection of cakes and sandwiches to munch on, as well as the all-important afternoon tea. In the summer months, the outdoor area is a great place to soak up some sun with a lovely slice of homemade cake.
